Breaking Lines (break out session)

Below is a session idea that I used with my University group on Monday night (I coach Coventry University 1st) – it’s based on 20 players and encourages tight play and timing of runs. Tweak it for your group and please let me know how it goes

Part 1: can adapt as necessary and add further progressions, challenges and coaching points.
Part 2: ‘Keep ball’ but set a break out ‘agreement’ with the players (what needs to happen before they break out to score?).

Move into a SSG which encourages session aims and add realisms throughout the session, ie offside, etc

Please give it a go and let me know how it works with your group.
